In Indonesia many Natural Rubber tree plantation, there is a government-owned (SOE), namely PT. Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN), and some that are privately owned. Natural Rubber Plantation is a lot of them are relics of the Dutch colonial order, but many also Natural Rubber plantation is new and improved from the previous plantation. One privately owned Natural Rubber plantation located near where I live, so I took time to take a few photographs of the plantation, and watch the activities there. Natural Rubber plants are crops that can grow in various regions in Indonesia, and also areas of Southeast Asia, for example: Malaysia and the Philippines. Indonesia had become the biggest exporters of Natural Rubber.

Natural Rubber Plant in Latin is called: Hevea brasiliensis; and is a Species: Hevea brasiliensis, Genus: Hevea, Family: Euphorbiaceae, Class: Dicotyledonae, Sub Division: Angiospermae, Division: Spermatophyta. Latexs from theplantation area will be transported to a processing plant for Natural Rubber, and to avoid the occurrence of freezing on the way it usually is added anticoagulants. After arriving at the processing plant then place in the coagulation bath and is added to thin the number of Formic Acid. The next stage is the printing process or freeze Natural Rubber; followed by a rolling process to be used as sheets. Natural rubber sheet is then performed with the process of curing temperature and time. Fumigation is usually done by burning firewood in the stove and drain the smoke on a sheet of Natural Rubber. The interesting part is that the firewood is usually obtained from natural rubber trees that no longer productive.
